Choreographed and directed by Mary and Deborah Buttner, with original music by Dr. Greg Buttner, this environmental storytelling ballet advocates for ocean conservation through powerful movement and sound. Performing as The Whale was a full-circle moment for me, after first seeing the piece in 2016, stepping into the lead role was both a personal dream and a transformative experience.
