Choreographed and directed by Mary Buttner and Deborah Buttner-Squeri, with original music by Dr. Greg Buttner, this environmental storytelling ballet advocates for ocean conservation through powerful movement and sound. Performing as The Whale was a full-circle moment for me, after first seeing the piece in 2016, stepping into the lead role was both a personal dream and a transformative experience.
