Nord Anglia Education Research and Development Social Impact Grant Recipient | 2023–2025
With a $3,000 grant from Nord Anglia Education, our student team launched Opportunities for All, a project focused on using arts and athletics to support wellness and learning in Jamaica. We led fun, creative workshops at Pedro Plains, Sandy Bank Primary, and the Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Early Childhood Institution, where students explored movement, mindfulness, and self-expression.
With a $3,000 grant from Nord Anglia Education, our student team launched Opportunities for All, a project focused on using arts and athletics to support wellness and learning in Jamaica. We led fun, creative workshops at Pedro Plains, Sandy Bank Primary, and the Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Early Childhood Institution, where students explored movement, mindfulness, and self-expression.
We partnered with nonprofits, educators, and even Olympic gold medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, all while focusing on two key global goals: Good Health & Well-Being (SDG 3) and Quality Education (SDG 4). Through this experience, I learned how much stronger a project becomes when it’s built on community input, cultural respect, and real teamwork.
Later, I got the chance to share our work at the Eastern Educational Research Association Conference and during Nord Anglia’s World Children’s Day Expedition in Tanzania, showing how student-led service can be meaningful and sustainable, no matter where you are.
