Dance Mentorship

This summer, I had the honor of beginning my internship with the International Dance Academy by teaching ballet history and culture to our younger dancers. In celebration of Juneteenth, I led a special lesson that explored the significance of the holiday and the powerful role the arts, particularly ballet, have played in honoring freedom and Black heritage. Through storytelling and reflection, we celebrated the resilience, artistry, and lasting impact of Black dancers throughout history and today.
