In 2023, I performed with the Dance Company during NBPS’s very first World Children’s Day showcase, an event all about celebrating kids’ rights and voices around the world. One of the most memorable parts was helping create a “We Are the World” music video where students sang in eight different languages: Spanish, French, Dutch, Vietnamese, Swahili, Mandarin, Portuguese, and English. It was such a powerful way to show how music can bring people together.

We also designed games and hands-on activities that taught our 2nd graders about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Rights of the Child in a fun and engaging way. It was amazing to see how music and play can connect so many cultures and celebrate children’s rights around the world.

In 2024, I led the Art Station at our school’s World Children’s Day Expo, guiding Lower School students through a fun and creative project inspired by Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, their right to play, rest, learn, and express themselves freely.
