Girl Scout Holiday Outreach

For the past six years, each December I’ve organized and led my troop in spreading holiday cheer to the senior residents at Westchester of Sunrise through music and dance. Performing excerpts from The Nutcracker with the International Ballet Company and singing carols reminded me of the power of art to uplift, connect, and bring comfort, especially during the holiday season.

I also help organize Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child, which sends gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world, extending the spirit of giving beyond our local community.
